Always with the cliffhangers 😭 I need book 2 immediately.
I will say it started a little slow for me, but ramped up quickly and I ended up really loving this story and being hooked.
The magic system and story was so captivating and I’d love even more backstory to see more of the world.
There is a lot of mystery with the FMC. Her origins are unknown even to her and the unraveling is a huge plot point.
The MMC is broody and kinda morally gray and I loved him from the first scene. He is my favorite type of fictional man. I knew he’d be the one from whose first introduction. He worries about her safety but lets her decide how to live and what steps she needs to take. We love a man who lets a woman make her own decisions.
Overall, a great read and I can’t wait for book 2!
