I’m just going to say it. I absolutely loved this manga volume! It was not really what I was expecting, but I loved it. So happy I picked this up!

For a while I’ve been skeptical to pick this up because of the therapist/patient relationship, but it’s not truly that. Kurose makes it clear from the start that he’s not trying to be Shirotani’s therapist. There is no exchange of money. Kurose just wants Shirotani to be his friend. Is this still morally questionable(especially since I know this series will get more explicit as it progresses)? Sure. It still is, but I thought it would be way worse from the start.

If anything, I’m actually glad that at least for a while here Kurose asked for distance from Shirotani because he wasn’t sure he was doing the right thing (especially because of his increasingly complicated feelings towards Shirotani). I can’t wait for this to get more morally depraved! 😂

Anyway. Could Kurose and Shirotani have had a bit more personality? Sure. But I still ate this shit up like it was nothing. Plus, that ending? I’m a sucker for some angst 🤩 Hit me right in the feels!
