This was a really odd book that I definitely wouldn’t have read had it not been picked by my work book club. I also don’t know that I’d have finished it either if I hadn’t invested both time and money into it at the point where I really started to lose interest. I really wanted the mystery around the murders to be more of a feature but in the end none of that storyline was resolved. The rest of the story just felt rather flat. I’m not sure if that’s because something was lost in translation or what, but I just felt pretty disappointed in it by the end.
