Eat the Ones You Love by Sarah Maria Griffin
3.75
dark mysterious tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

This story fulfilled its purpose as a light summer read.
Romance and horror weave through the story, their occasional appearances reviving tension, but the fabric composing our main characters and storyline remains largely undisturbed. Tears do appear where expected, but the resulting tragedy seems easily remedied or remains unexplored.

The main cast is
likeable but one-dimensional, adhering to their expected roles to a frustrating degree.
