This story fulfilled its purpose as a light summer read. Romance and horror weave through the story, their occasional appearances reviving tension, but the fabric composing our main characters and storyline remains largely undisturbed. Tears do appear where expected, but the resulting tragedy seems easily remedied or remains unexplored.
The main cast islikeable but one-dimensional, adhering to their expected roles to a frustrating degree.
