the relationship between harlow and acyn was beautifully written, i dare say perfect. their transition from friends to lovers flowed like butter to me. it didn’t seem forced or unbelievable. i was convinced even before they became a couple. the slow burn wasn’t drawn out or too much, it was written to the right capacity. harlow & acyn had me blushing, smiling, crying and laughing. i love how their individuality blended together without one person over powering the other. harlow and acyn’s selflessness, charming wit & sarcasm are some of my favorite things about them.
as usual a.e. valdez & her characters have me reflecting and relating, love shouldn’t be unrequited, love should fill you up, love should be gentle with your mind & heart, love should know you, love shouldn’t dismiss your wants & needs! i 110% recommend that you listen to the playlist while you read the book, it enhances the reading experience. each song was specially selected and added, i’m convinced.
