A Touch of Malice by Scarlett St. Clair
5.0
This book feels very personal to me. I didn’t anticipate relating to Persephones relationship with her mother as much as I have. I found it very hard to read in some parts. Despite wanting to devour this third installment of Persphones POV and loving all of this characters so much (Hermes especially) I didn’t want this book to end. I found myself bawling at the last two chapters and on the edge of my seat up until that point. It takes a strong individual to put themselves in a dangerous situation to save others and hopefully themselves, to understand that sometimes while we are loved - it is rare that that love is shown in a healthy manner. That possession holds no place over showing care, admiration and understanding. With that being said - despite that forgivenesses and fight - how it wears at us, sometimes it is not enough. And you have to put yourself first.
