Three to Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich
4.0
Book three of the Stephanie Plum series is a solid follow up to the first two books. I enjoyed it slightly more than either the first or the second. I laughed out loud at one point while reading this book, but I didn't mark it down, and now do not remember what passage I found so funny.
I did mark one passage that I enjoyed the author's description - "The cement stoop was littered with globules of rock salt that had eaten their way through yesterday's ice, leaving a doily of frozen gray slush." Being from the Northeast, I've seen gray slush doilies created by rock salt before, and the description is perfect.
Stephanie's on again off again relationship with Morelli was mostly off in this book (with the notable exception of one scene on Morelli's kitchen floor). Instead, she spent some much needed time with Ranger, trying to learn to be better at her job. She still stumbled through most of the book, though.
