Read it as soon as it came (amazon pre-order) and, I don't know. I've been stewing in it. There are definitely things here for a lot of people to identify with, but I didn't find that many. There were a lot of potentially cringe inducing situations that were blessedly, if not expertly, handled off screen. The husband was a nightmare scenario and that wasn't satisfactorily fully resolved. The MIL was a semi nightmare scenario, not fully resolved. The protagonist was, at the risk of sounding like I'm minimizing postpartum depression, a nightmare scenario. Look, I get it. It's dark times, long and lonely days. And I like Bunmi Laditan and appreciate her honesty and vulnerability on facebook. But I didn't find a ton to identify with or enjoy here.
