This novel moved me…the writing and the way Edie goes through horrible things and explains those things to us in such a detached, witty and charming way is fascinating. I liked to say Edie is like a plastic bag floating and letting things happen to her….. Her trying to simply fit in the boxes society shaped for her is devastating and fascinating to see. I love Edie and I wish I could go on with her. Raven Leilani has made a fan out of me. I cannot wait to see what she does next!!
