All The Light We Cannot See was one of the books that got me back into reading after college and not only that but helped me really appreciate how gorgeous writing can be, so I was so excited to read his next book after his huge success 7 years ago. Anthony Doerr is an incredible writer who creates relatable, flawed characters and I get so invested in his stories. This book is told through the eyes of five different characters in three different time periods and how they are all connected through one story, an ancient tale called Cloud Cuckoo Land. It's so ambitious and he pulls it off. Without spoiling anything, I think this is also the most beautiful and hopeful book I've ever read about climate change. This is definitely going on my list of favorites this year and of all time.

Like... should I get a Cloud Cuckoo Land tattoo? Considering it.
