Kitchens of the Great Midwest
by J. Ryan Stradal
(3.5/5) I liked the characters and the structure of the book was unlike any I've read so far. I really enjoyed that it jumped from major character to major character and you had to kind of fill in the blanks for yourself.
There are some questions that I have unanswered, and I really wish they'd been addressed, but I also understand that wasn't the main purpose of the book.
I loved who Eva grew to be and how she lived so authentically and all without knowing her chef Dad (tragic, btw).
Did Pat get busted with weed, though? And a DUI?
Does Eva ever decide if Cindy was the real Cynthia Hargreaves?!
Does she ever ask Jarl about Lars?
