I picked this book up randomly at a Barnes and Noble because it looked cute and gosh, it was basically like I’d commissioned it. The spice was spicy, the romance was sweet, I loved the Chicago setting. My one singular nitpick is that there’s sort of a big deal made of the male main character being a “virgin” even though he’d had oral and manual sex, just not penetration. That’s a really hetero way of looking at things—getting to try a new sex act can still be a special moment without it being considered a change in status. But truly if that’s the worst thing I can say, then that’s a pretty spectacular book!
