An interesting little thriller that was only spoiled for me by

promising something supernatural which it then completely didn't deliver on. Mentions of banshees or mothmen were ultimately a weird thread that didn't go anywhere.

I enjoyed the twist, although so many characters felt weirdly 'extra', but I think I'd benefit from rereading with context in order to spot all the hints.
