Lady Mechanika Vol. 1: The Mystery of the Mechanical Corpse by Joe Benítez

Here’s what I liked:
- Amazing artwork. The artwork in this volume perfectly brought to life the steampunk vibes.
- Good story. Full of action, suspense, and mystery. It makes me super excited for future volumes.
- Awesome introduction to the main character. Lady Mechanika is badass. Her personality shines through as someone who is smart, fearless, and extremely determined. She didn’t feel cringe or overly sexualized (although I will admit her proportions are… unrealistic.) as some female heroes often can.
Here’s what I disliked:
- Some pages were a little overfilled with monologues. I sometimes found it different to follow the flow of the panels. However, it didn’t really impede my enjoyment.
