This was a fun mystery! I think the length of the book (or lack thereof) made it get in its own way - the characterisation and the mystery both suffered a little bit to make room for each other, and I think an additional 50-100 pages could have really helped with that. When I heard "sapphic romance subplot with a crime mystery" I was simply so sat, but I wish it had have been fleshed out a little more. 

I still had a great time - definitely worth reading if the tagline is exciting to you!
