I had mixed feelings going into this book's fairytale-meets-reality concept, but I was also intrigued to see how it would play out. The first half was fast-paced and interesting enough to keep me reading, but the second half was a bit of a letdown. It started to feel a little dragged out and repetitive without much action. The writing wasn't bad, but it also didn't really help me to visualize what was happening in a way most dystopian novels do. The ending was a little hasty and inconclusive for me as well. Overall, not a bad book, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to many people.
