Charity and Sylvia: A Same-Sex Marriage in Early America
by Rachel Hope Cleves
emotional
informative
inspiring
slow-paced
I really loved this book, but I think it does get a little dry and academic at times. I fell in love with the story of these two women, and loved reading their poetry and quotes. If I weren't a history nerd, though, I'm not sure the rest of it would've grabbed me (so heads up for people who just want a fun read--I'm not sure this is that)
