Shadow's Edge by Brent Weeks
5.0
This book....this fricking book....it put me through emotional turmoil. I laughed, cried, screamed at people, and everything in between. The way it started out was a little slow, I admit, and it annoyed me. Kylar wants to have sex, Elene is too prim and chaiste to admit that she wants it too. They fight, Kylar goes out in his greys, recycle, repeat. All the while they don't even care about what is happening in Cenaria. There was only one thing I was certain of throughout the entire book: Garoth Usruul is the definition of an evil sonofabitch. Everything about him disgusted me. Though I was not, nor am i, a fan of Vi's, I did cheer her on when....no spoilers, but who ever read the book should know what I'm talking about. After events pick up, there is no slowing down. The book makes up for it's slow beginning by never giving you an uneventful minute. There is always something on the horizon, new people come up and give you new perspectives, anticipation, it never ends! And then that cliffhanger is enough to make you want to scream (which I did.) All in all, read it. I can promise that you won't regret it.
