I enjoyed reading a book from the perspective of someone neurodivergent. very different than anything i’ve read before. I love when there’s some new perspective that I can read from, and knowing that there’s a book and character for everyone to relate to. especially as the heroine/MC.

That being said, the whole book was just very meh to me. I don’t like billionaire romances, it feels very disingenuous to me. this was no exception. there were not really any real stakes in this book. it didn’t make sense how zach flipped so quickly into being in love.

maybe it’s because I haven’t read any of the other books in this series (and have no plans to), but the dynamic between the “found family” just felt weird and awkward. the things that made them laugh made me cringe a bit.

i’m so sick of the word frumpy and I never want to hear it again. zach was so judgmental, and I don’t feel like he ever properly apologized to maya for it. like him saying “yeah your clothes used to be really ugly until I bought you new ones” doesn’t really count. his character “development” was mid to say the least.

could’ve been cute if it felt more real. I feel like the book the fine print is everything this book wanted to be, and just fell short.
