Batman: Year One by Frank Miller, David Mazzucchelli

3.0

This had a wonderful start, I was immediately hooked at the contrast between Bruce and James Gordon. And I loved looking at the characters and their origins as well as Selina's, aka Catwoman. But it didn't fully match my expectations, we jumped through the year quickly and only saw glimpses. Both The Long Halloween and Dark Victory are in this continuity and were twelve issues a year and you can tell that this is really needed here. Though the setup and the plots intriguing, in the end we didn't get to see enough to satisfy.
