This book really disappointed me because all of the other Alex Lake books are very interesting to me. Mystery thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat. But this one was quite frustrating for me. I found that the characters told on themselves or revealed too easily the plot. Which in turn negated the mystery and the thrill. There were white a few attempted red herrings. I don’t like when characters in books mimic dumb and stupid tropes for the sake of putting a story together.
