The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
by Rebecca Skloot
challenging
emotional
hopeful
inspiring
medium-paced
This was a great read. I didn't know much about Henrietta Lacks beyond what has been discussed since this book came out. I am so glad I finally got to read this. It is far more biographical than scientific based, and I would have liked a little more science. This isn't just about Henrietta; it's also her children and family. I liked that because it gave a lot of context for the struggles the ordeal has caused. It is a reminder of how the butterfly effect can truly impact those around us, not just a hurricane across the globe.
