Very LeFreak by Rachel Cohn
1.0

I gave this book one star because I that's the lowest rating that you can give a book on here. If I could, I would give it negative stars. Yes, this book was that bad.

When I first picked up this book and read the inside jacket, I thought that it had an interesting idea, a girl addicted to technology. I personally believe that you can become addicted to anything, so first reading the inside jacket, I didn't think that it was a totally fantasy plot. I mean, I'm sure that sometime in the near future, there will be rehab centers for those addicted to computers, phones, mp3 players, etc.

Now onto the book, the whole first half of the book was very boring. The author took way too much time setting background info. She probably could have cut the whole first part into half of what it is. At the point that you finally get to the part where she's at the rehab place, you're wishing that the book was over.

Besides being very boring, the characters in the book are so unrealistic. None of what goes on at this college, do I believe would actually happen at a real college. I found myself absolutely despising the main character about twenty pages in. The writing style is terrible. I've never read any of Ms. Cohn's work before, but after reading this, I'm not planning on it.

Overall, the idea for the book was okay, but nothing else was. I would not recommend this book to anybody. At all. Not even for a light read.
