The Roguish Baron by Sophie Barnes, Sophie Barnes

4.0

Sophia has been in love with Jack, her neighbor, since she was a girl. His rakish reputation suggests he doesn't share her affection. When he returns to the country after a four-year absence, he's smitten with her. But it's too late—she's engaged and planning a marriage of convenience. His protestations of love don't sway her. She's sure he only wants what he can't have. Can he convince her his heart is true?

This is a short, romantic, satisfying read. This author always seems to surprise me with an unexpected twist just when I think I know how the story will go.

Thanks, Booksprout, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
