A reflective book about male friendships and loss with a dose of mirth sprinkled throughout. The prose is a touch florid for my tastes but it makes sense when you consider the author is primarily a poet. Pedersen is clearly in love with the written word and delights in using esoteric language and phrases, which could come across as pretentious to some but I enjoyed, especially as the book settles into the second half. Would perhaps be best read on kindle as you will be looking up a lot of words throughout!
