This is definitely my favorite book of the series, my first true and deserves five stars of the series.

I think parts of it were slow and there is a lot of plot setup, but I loved seeing Calaena/Aelin’s character development and of course her with Rowan.

I forgot how she broke Rowan’s blood oath with Maeve and also about the slaughter of Endovier and Calculla. I didn’t even think about the scene in the last book where Calculla n was mentioned.

I didn’t realize Rowan had had a late before either and loved how their relationship grew.

Also Manon’s character development is truly amazing and I’m obsessed.

Basically we finally meet some of my favorite characters plus people get some truth bombs told and the character development is superb.

There are still the same flaws as in the other books (repetitive phrases like about Rowan fussing or the extra eyelid, etc.).
