Frigid by Jennifer L. Armentrout

3.0

Stories about unrequited love and best friends turned lovers are between my favourites and this is a book by Jennifer L. Armentrout, so of course I loved the book.

However, I didn't give it 5 stars because:
1 - I thought everything happened way too quickly between Sydney and Kyler. I know they were in love with each other for years and that all that went down between them should have happened years earlier, but I find it hard to believe that after so many years of fear of rejection, drama and angst, they would immediately jump into each other's pants.
I mean, at least if I was Sydney, I wouldn't spill my guts to Kyler like that and basically tell him I wanted to jump his bones. And I certainly wouldn't jump his bones right away.
But hell, maybe I'm not thinking it all through. Maybe I would be so crazy with unmitigated love and lust that I would be ready to just about everything. This question will remain unanswered until I find myself in that position. LMAO

2 - Sydney was a bit of a drama queen and I didn't like that she overreacted after that situation with Zach. She was fooled way too easily.
Before that, all the things the bartender said to her were obviously suspicious and had one simple purpose - break her trust in Kyler.
I know Kyler was a man-whore and everything, but dammit, after everything that had happened between them and, most important of all, after so many years of friendship, she should have had a little more faith in him.

Apart from that, this book was awesome.

Sydney was damn funny, Kyler was an unbelievable sexy beast, the angst was amazing and the sex scenes were the bomb.

I hope the next book is about Andrea and Tanner. I'm curious to know what is really going on between those two.

Really, read this book.
