Tangled Ambition by Sophie Andrews

A workplace romance between rivals with some of the best banter! The main characters have worked with each other for a few years and even went to law school together prior. But now they are up for the same promotion and they get a little cut throat. When they are assigned to work a project together they begin to see they are more alike than they thought. We get to witness them being rivals / enemies to friends who really care about each other and then to lovers.
This was a little bit of a slow burn, but the characters were developed so well. It was easy to root for them. They were both strong characters who were ok alone, but better together. The banter, the swoon, the spice, the chemistry, and the plot- all of it top tier as I'm growing to expect from Sophie Andrews. This a book that I would actually re-read and fall in love with all over again.
If you have triggers- please look at these prior to determine if you can handle the emotional aspects of this story. This is important as some topics may be heavy for some. It is done VERY tastefully.
