The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston

I loved The Dead Romantics so much that I knew I needed to read another one of this authors books. Unfortunately this one wasn’t nearly as good as The Dead Romantics. First off, where is the chemistry?? Their connection screamed friends only and nothing more. I just wasn’t feeling these two as anything more until close to the very end. At that point I believed it but where was that throughout the book. I wasn’t wanting insta love but I was wanting a pull to these characters. About 73% in I actually felt like there were true feelings between Clementine and Iwan. We didn’t even get to see much about Vera and Analea and felt more chemistry between them just from being told about their relationship. The storyline was fun although I did get bored with the publicist and restaurant talk. I did skim a lot of those parts. That normally does bore me in books so no surprise there. I really wanted those same feels that I had reading The Dead Romantics while I read this one and I just didn’t feel it.
