I had actually already read the second book in this series, and since I enjoyed it, I thought I would go back and read book one (I usually like to read the series in order). Sometimes first books in a series can take a little more time to warm up and get going, but if anything, this book was even better than Ms Baker (which I thoroughly enjoyed).
This was an excellent first book, a really enjoyable cute romance, with an exciting mystery and fabulous friendships. The characters are great, and I love the depth of the female lead, she knows what she wants, but she also knows what she deserves; a heroine you can look up to!!
I would highly recommend reading this book and the whole Eastern Shores series.
