Getting Revenge on Lauren Wood by Eileen Cook
3.0
A cute, quick read. Helen's former BFF, Lauren, made her the most hated girl in school right as they began their freshman year of HS. Helen ends up moving but always thinks about getting Lauren back. She ends back in her hometown, just in time for her senior year of HS and is determined to make Lauren pay. She looks completely different and has enrolled under a different name to have a fresh start and to catch Lauren totally off-guard.
Cook does a great job capturing all the feelings associated with HS - the daily dramas, the rigid caste-like social hierarchy, and desire to fit in. I liked the character of Claire/Helen and think the plot had a good pace. This would be a great read for vacation.
