I received this arc from Valentine apt in exchange for my honest review.
Colbie tries to plan for everything, so when her boyfriend cheated on her, she wasnβt surprised or as upset as she thought sheβd be. Then, she gets a call that her estranged father is badly injured, and she knows itβs time to face him.
Jake is a single dad, who works for Emmett, Colbieβs father, for his construction company. Emmett is like the far, Jake never had, and Colbie coming back to town, makes her his competition. Colbie didnβt care that Jake didnβt like her because she wasnβt staying long, that is, until her dad asked her to run the business while he recovers. Too bad for Jake, heβs going to have to deal with Colbie a lot more now.
This reads like a hallmark movie, and had me giggling, swooning, laughing, and even yelling at times.
