i couldn’t put it down once i picked it up. solid spice, very dark, and i truly couldn’t guess how the story was going to progress.
i highly recommend reading the content warnings. If you’re worried about spoilers, i’d say that most content warnings are standard for a “dark mafia romance”. however for content warnings outside of the standard expected from a dark mafia romance, i have listed frequently, on-page/off-page, historic, extent of description and in one case, which chapter/section to avoid without spoilers. those topics are attempted suicide, ableism or car accidents, .

Graphic: Gun violence, Panic attacks/disorders, Sexual content, Violence, Blood, Stalking, Car accident, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Ableism, Child abuse, Self harm, Kidnapping, and Suicide attempt
Minor: Pedophilia and Murder
either first mentioned in prologue or first chapter:
🔫 gun violence/injury detail - on-page, several detailed and graphic flashbacks/dreams of FMC almost dying due to gun violence as well as what caused an amputation of lower arm.
🦾Ableism - FMC experiences moderate harassment due to her amputation
🚫Child Abuse/Pedophilia - off-page and historic towards FMC by foster parent
Introduced later in book but does not negatively effect story progression if known:
‼️🪦 attempted suicide - off-page, historic BUT when first mentioned, it describes what was used, where and how. character has scarring that is briefly mentioned 2-3x after. if you want to read but what to avoid that one section, it occurs in chapter 7, near the end of the chapter. i’d recommend stopping at “what the fuck is this”, skip a page, then continue after “why do you care”.
🚨Car Accident - on-page & detailed. If sensitive, stop reading at end of chapter 23 at “crack. crack. crack”. skip first page of chapter 24 & pick back up after “we need to split up”
