Yes, heartstopper is a utopia kind of read, but Alice Ossman does SUCH a good job at highlighting important themes through these cute comments, and that is really important

In volume 4 we saw Charlie struggle with mental health, and I loved the execution.

In this volume (SPOILERS!!!) we sick Nick and Charlie dealing with… their first time getting steamy, and Nick figuring out his university choices. And I love how it’s cute af while being awkward as hell at the same time, when Nick and Charlie go through it. Because that how most people experience it!

All in all, heartstopper is a series that deserves the highest praise available and - having read a little of her other works - Alice Oseman’s amazing storytelling skills when taking on so many important themes deserved praise as well.

I love these books, I love these characters, and I love this world. Easiest 5/5⭐️ in a while
