Corinne Michaels' All Too Well launches a new series called Ember Falls. Ainsley and Lachlan's story of brother-best friend romance, single fatherhood, forced proximity, small town life, and unrequited love. Narrators Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin do an amazing job embodying the roles of the FMC and MMC. They are a story about building tension and getting a second chance after a squandered opportunity. Lachlan is the newly appointed fire chief in Ember Falls. Ainsley is a journalist who is under the misconception that Lachlan didn’t want her four years earlier. The FMC and MMC are very stubborn as they learn to each let love in. This five star read is a struggle to learn to trust again while not shutting out love due to past mistakes. Lachlan is a single father due to a one night stand who didn’t want her baby and believes his daughter Rose is the only chance he’ll have at fatherhood. I listened to this audiobook all in one day, because I didn’t want to put it down. Readers who would enjoy this books are through who like tropes brother’s best friend romance, forced proximity, all the banters, built up tension, a fuck it moment, single dad, small town, and unrequited love. This is also a novel I’d highly recommend to a romance reader who is looking for a new author to try. Corinne Michael spins an excellent story which is character driven mixed with intriguing plot.
