Narrated in duet style by CJ Bloom & Aaron Shedlock
Oh Gus. You melted my heart. This second chance small town romance will have you swooning! Gus and Chloe married young but lies and betrayal tore them apart. Almost 20 years later Chloe returns to make Gus pay. What she didn’t expect was to still have feelings for him. As they both get closer, they realize that there were more secrets hidden that caused their break up and the truth must come out.
I absolutely love a man who digs in and doesn’t give up. Chloe is back in Gus’s life and he will do whatever it takes to get her back. His pursuit of her is beautiful despite all of her protestations. Yet Chloe has major trust issues that she’s struggling to get over. She’s always gone it alone and Gus’ betrayal when they were young messed with her for many years.
This narration is in duet style with CJ Bloom as Chloe and Aaron Shedlock as Gus. What a wonderful pairing. CJ Bloom so good as the tough business woman and yet she slayed the deeper emotional parts also. On a side note, I find something very calming about her voice. And Aaron?... well, he makes the perfect lumberjack. His performance showed his range of cinnamon-role alpha with some determination thrown in as Gus makes sure he’s never letting Chloe go again. Although we only got a brief glimpse, I loved Aaron’s kid voice, it is so enjoyable.
