This is such a perfect fake dating/forced proximity romance! I enjoyed reading this so much and was sad when it was over. Emily Henry always writes settings so perfectly that I feel like I’m there.
The premise of this book had me hooked immediately. Healing heartbreak and finding yourself has never been so comforting to read. There were parts that felt predictable but I didn’t mind.
I loved Daphne’s growth throughout. Watching her come out of her shell and open up to the other characters had me deep in my feels. When she called her dad to tell him how she really felt I wanted to cry and cheer at the same time. I loved that she got her own place and established herself away from Miles so she could keep spreading her wings. And I love that he understood and supported her.
Miles also opening up and learning to let himself feel again was so well done. His personality shone through without covering up any of the growing he needed to do. His arc was also so well done.
Julia and Ashleigh were great supporting characters who I fell in love with.
Peter and Petra were just present enough to make Daphne and Miles not be able to forget them without making the story all about them overall and I appreciated that.
Honestly I had very little problems with this one and could see this topping my list of favorites among the EH novels. Daphne and Miles are high up on the list for sure.
