I liked the book and the way it was written (translated). The concept of it was something I haven't come across before, and therefore it was refreshing and interesting to read. However, I didnĀ“t necessarily like the protagonist. I didn't dislike her either, it's just that I couldn't really relate to her, or the choices she makes.

To me she seems very much naive and a bit shallow. Especially in the part of the book where her dad calls her to tell her her grandfather died. A grandfather she was close to and had a really nice relationship with, and she doesn't even want to come to his wake because of people she randomly met a second ago.

Not to mention the whole point of PerfectStrangers to her was just to distract herself from the issues that were actually happening in her life and marriage. As a 30 something year old, I think she should be more responsible and mature.

Overall I liked the book but these were just things that took me away a bit  from the story.
