I fell in love with Eden/Rhi. She has had some crazy shit happen in her life, but how lucky she was to have her uncle come and rescue and take her in so quickly! I felt I could relate to her a lot; not only have I had a lot happen in my life, but I have also and always put others problems and needs before mine.

“The Wilderness Girls of Happy Valley”, the relationship with each other is inseparable. They were able to get each other through so much, even when their minds are taken apart and filled with illusions and nonsensical things that “mother” would tell them about. How lucky they were that Rhi found them and was able to get them the help they need, and  had gained many friends along their journey in their “new world.”

There is a lot of content and things that did surprise me throughout this book. However, it wasn’t horribly and gruesomely written, you could quickly tell what was going on, and the author didn’t write about these sensitive topics too long.

Other than that, I have so many positive thoughts about this book! I would TOTALLY recommend reading this.
