I liked the variety of topics in this book. It wasn't what I expected at first (I thought it would be about our obsession with ghosts and ghost stories.) But I still enjoyed each chapter's look at different aspects of ghosts in world cultures: the theories on afterlife, the rise of Spiritualism, the rise of debunking Spiritualists, etc.

Would recommend of you like history and ghost stories.
