“A Deal with the Shadow King,” by Anya J. Cosgrove
Penelope’s father sold her to the shadow king, now she must live in Faerie with King Damian and use her forbidden magic. She is determined to learn to protect herself physically and magically from all that would harm her.
I really liked this book. I liked the fact she has to spend half the year in Faerie, I liked the reverse harem aspect, I loved the shadow court, and I loved the Beauty and the Beast/ Persephone and Hades retelling vibe. The characters were super interesting and the world that was built was unique and had so many moving parts to it. The main characters’ interactions were slow burn and filled with tension and I couldn’t get enough. The book was fast paced and had enough action to keep it interesting. I absolutely can’t wait for book 2. 4 out of 5 stars.

-Reverse Harem
-Shadow Daddy
-Magic/ Magic User
