Ten Women by Marcela Serrano
3.0
So, I got this book for free with Amazon prime. I honestly don't know how I feel about it. The story follows 10 women who live in Chile, 9 of which are going to the same counselor (the 10th woman).
While I learned some about growing up in Chile, it honestly came off more as a "complaining about how my life went." Maybe that's wrong of me to take it that way, there are many women who have tragic stories. I just honestly didn't connect with this book like I wanted to.
I honestly didn't have a favorite character. They all just share their stories and then the booknis over. I would have liked to see more interaction between them.
I think the book is fiction, but it feels very nonfiction. For those who don't know a lot about struggles women have faced or do face, this would be a good book to read! Definitely for adults as there is a lot of cursing.
