This book is what I would describe as technically perfect. It wasn't my favourite book of all time but the writing was impeccable and I did really enjoy reading it. Donna Tartt has a real skill at capturing a mood and making the reader feel the tension in every moment. I also loved how throughout the book I felt my feelings towards different characters change along with Richard's perceptions of them.
