I’m not sure how this book has 4.2 out of 5 stars on GoodReads, but it was not giving anywhere near 4 stars. I don’t expect much from sports romances and this book was nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to fluffy, mindless romance. There were a few funny parts and character moments, but the chemistry between the main characters was not palpable at all. I think the lack of dialogue between the two is what steered me away from their relationship and the timeline of their progression as a couple was all sorts of confusing. While this wasn’t my favorite book of Kennedy’s, there are some others that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I don’t think I’ll find myself thinking about this one after finishing it.
