If you go into this for the sci-fi, you’ll be disappointed. It’s not about the castle necessarily, but about the characters and what the castle means to them. It does tend to drag, especially if you’re not into the characters themselves, and I do wish the castle would’ve been elaborated on further. But this is exactly the kind of book I’d have loved as a kid, To anyone saying the negative teachers weren’t realistic - they definitely were to me. I really appreciated reading it now still.
