I was surprised with how much I enjoyed this book. Last year, I read, Gone Girl, and hated it. I think I gave it 2.5 stars. I found it boring and I didn’t like any of the characters. However, in that previous review, I did say that Gillian Flynn is a fantastic writer, I just didn’t think her books were for me. But, then I read this book. I absolutely loved it. I loved the complexity of so many characters, and was actually obsessed with the whole “boozy house wife old money vibes.” All of the drama and gossip was intriguing. I also appreciate the complexity of the main character and I think this book had some great twists. All in all, excellent story.
