Traces: The Memoir of a Forensic Scientist and Criminal Investigator
by Patricia Wiltshire
informative
slow-paced
An odd book, which alternates between informative chapters and chapters of often superfluous autobiography. The detailed sections do contain a lot of interesting information, but thought the editing feels poor. The narrator chops and changes between stories within chapters and there’s a lot of repetition. I got Deja vu at one several points reading sentences which had already appeared earlier in the book. Some heavy editing could have made this into a much more coherent and compelling book.
