The Neon God: A Novel by Ben D'Alessio
Did not finish book.
It upsets me that I didn't finish this boom but it wasn't for me but that by no means, means that it is a bad book.
I liked Zibby a lot, which is odd considering I have a thing about liking the main characters but I did like her. Dio however, I'm sure he grows on you or whatever but I did not like but at the point of the book I don't think I was supposed to.
It's clear how much D'Alessio loves New Orleans but have never been there it made it hard to visualise and made me miss some of the nuances.
The thing that made me not want to finish was the plot, I got bored. I think this is a purely personal thing because the writing is good and the characters are vivid but this is just not a book for me.
