The writing of "The Fine Print" pulled me in two different directions. On one hand, I found myself being frustrated with the cliche and trope-esque writing. On the other hand, there were times that I found myself legitimately laughing out loud due to the wittiness of the writing. I'm not sure what the end balance was relating to these opposing sides; nevertheless, I found the book to be an intriguing read. The tropes of opposites attract and happily ever after were clearly present and displayed. There were also themes relating to mental health, family and hope. It was these themes have me coming back for more. The characters were well developed. I loved the inclusion of differently abled persons in significant supporting roles.
In this read through, I listened to the audiobook and also struggled with the timbre of the male narrator's voice. With time it was easier to get used to, but it was still distracting at times.
Would recommend too: romance readers and fans of tropes including incapable of love and the enemies to lovers
