I mean really, it's not doing anything new. It almost feels like I've read this book before and I got to enjoy a nice comforting reread. Something I appreciate is that Paedyn actually has a really intense personality and is intrinsically violent, which is fun to read in a FMC. Something I appreciate less is that somehow the author thought the name Paedyn was a good choice.
Kai was dark, brooding, and very muscular. He is, of course, terribly traumatized. This is known from the moment you meet him because he has dark hair. Kitt happens to be number three on the list of blond men I enjoy. But, unfortunately, we all suspect who she will end up with come Reckless.
I am complaining kind of a lot for this being a book I actually enjoyed. It's important to acknowledge that this is maybe not a good book. If I met a stranger in a coffee shop, I wouldn’t recommend this book for fear of endless judgement. But I read it, I liked it. There were fun moments. Can't resist the love triangle. Big betrayal ending is like a sweet kiss goodnight.
